ExamYield study guide
A practical way to use this site for SIE, Series 65, and Series 3 prep — from short category drills to full timed simulations — without interrupting an active quiz session.
1. Start with the exam outline
Each exam landing page summarizes modeled length, time limits, and topic coverage. Skim that overview first so your practice sessions map to the areas the live exam emphasizes. Confirm official details with FINRA, NASAA, or the NFA when you schedule a real sitting.
2. Drill weak topics with category practice
Use shorter quizzes (10–25 questions) filtered to one topic until your accuracy stabilizes. Read every explanation — including ones you got right — so you understand why the correct choice wins and why distractors fail.
Missed questions are saved in your browser. Return to the review tool on each exam page and rework those items before you move on to timed exams.
3. Build stamina with timed exam simulations
Once category accuracy looks solid, run a full-length timed simulator. Treat it like test day: single sitting, no mid-quiz research, submit when the timer ends. Afterward, study the category breakdown and queue weak areas for another drill cycle.
Practice scores here are for self-assessment only. They are not predictive of official results and do not replace the live exam.
4. Repeat: drill → review → simulate
A simple loop works well for most candidates: category practice for gaps, missed-question review for retention, then timed exams for pacing. Space sessions across days rather than cramming one marathon sit. Pair this site with your primary study materials and the official exam outline.
